“Garmonia mira”: RADIO FOR THE SOUL

Radio station “Garmonia mira” (eng. “Harmony of the World”) first aired on August 19, 1996, remaining until recently a local cultural phenomenon, which could be heard in Odessa and Odessa region. However, now everyone can listen to the our radio online.

The original goal of the founders of the radio station was to preserve the traditions of high culture, but without a touch of elitism. This idea inspired many representatives of the creative intelligentsia of Odessa — university professors, artists and writers, many of whom were members of the “Garmonia mira” creative team.

FEATURES OF THE RADIO STATION “Garmonia mira”

The musical basis of the “Garmonia mira” etheric grid is classical music, jazz and folk compositions, ethnic melodies, and classics of world and national pop.

From the beginning of broadcasting, rubrics such as “Hour of Classical Music” and “Jazz Club” have been broadcast on air and new programs are still being released. Over time, many other no less interesting rubrics appeared that affect the most diverse aspects of our lives.

Also on air from the first days broadcasts were broadcast for children: radio shows, audio performances, classical and modern children's literature performed by honored artists of the past and present. Over time, fairy tales written and voiced by the authors of Harmony of the World also appeared on the air.

In a word, the radio station’s broadcast is full of interesting and useful information. We are bring positive emotions to listeners, tuning them to a wave of harmony with the environment and with himself.

UNIQUENESS OF THE RADIO STATION “Garmonia mira”

We have to admit the fact that so far in Ukraine no other radio station has decided to master such a format. And in the rest of the world there are only a few units of such stations, so “Garmonia mira” is a truly unique cultural phenomenon.

Today “Garmonia mira” is a non-profit public organization, although there were no politics or advertising on our air before. We never pursued momentary commercial interests, it found a wide response in society: studies showed that Harmony of the World had the largest percentage of regular listeners among other Odessa radio stations.

We sincerely hope that after switching to Internet broadcasting, our regular listeners from Odessa will be able to stay on the same wavelength with us, but they will now be joined by like-minded people from all over the world. The meaning of the existence of the radio station was and will be in saturating the information field with high vibrations of inspired music and author programs on a variety of topics, the common denominator of which is the attitude to life in general, filled with Love and Joy.
